New Destination Website VisitJacksonHole.com

By Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board

Announcing the launch of Jackson Hole’s new destination website.

The state-of-the-art website will serve as a comprehensive, destination-wide resource for visitors and residents as well as an invaluable tool for industry professionals.

In order to create a user-friendly planning and booking experience for visitors looking to travel to Teton County, WY, the JHTTB identified the need for a new destination website in January of 2022. The process began immediately to create a new site focused on developing destination information, planning resources, and reservation options. After contracting with local marketing agency, TMBR, and working with over 35 local writers and photographers and over 50 destination stakeholders, visitjacksonhole.com launched to the public on July 5, 2023.

“From the engineering and development of the back-end to the photos, videos, and
stories on the front, all done by local talent, the new VisitJacksonHole.com is a
world-class destination resource and a testament to the passion and talent we have in Jackson Hole,” stated Mike Geraci, Board Member of the Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board.

VisitJacksonHole.com now delivers a seamless visitor experience with interactive planning and travel information, things-to-do and upcoming events, and engaging messaging about responsible visitation and stewardship initiatives. According to Expedia Group Media Solutions’ Sustainable Travel Study, 90% of consumers look for sustainable options when traveling but 70% feel overwhelmed by starting the process of being a more sustainable traveler. The JHTTB expects VisitJacksonHole.com to be a top-performing site across the travel and tourism industry with new features like a daily report, curated itineraries, and comprehensive business listings and maps with direct links to local business websites.

For local hospitality partners, the site serves as a hub for visitation data, media resources, and messaging tools. The dedicated industry site, industry.visitjacksonhole.com, offers lodging partners and the community a better understanding of the marketing and media efforts of the JHTTB alongside partner resources that can be used, free to industry partners, for marketing and communication with incoming clients. The industry site also provides a tourism dashboard with visitation data and market trends in one easily accessible location.

“The visitjacksonhole.com site, as well as the industry portal, will serve as a valuable resource for our local community. The ability to access information, content, trends and destination data will be helpful for all industry members. It is a very exciting time to launch this site and we hope that our community finds it as beneficial as we do. Thank you to all of the partners and team members who participated in this project as well as the local content producers, writers, and photographers who developed such great work that reflects our beautiful destination,” shared Julie Calder, Board Member of the JHTTB and VP of Guest Experience at Jackson Hole Resort Lodging.

With the launch of industry.visitjacksonhole.com comes the re-launch of the JHTTB’s media hub, a source for high-quality photos and videos for community use. Free to industry partners, the media hub houses hundreds of high resolution images, categorized by location and subject, that can be used with credit in partner emails, social media, and advertising.

The site is also an information center for Jackson Hole as a destination and an opportunity for community involvement. In line with the JHTTB’s mission, the industry site hosts plans and initiatives that drive destination marketing and management “in a manner that is consistent with the shared values of our community.” Documents, like the Sustainable Destination Management Plan and the work of the Destination Stewardship Council, can be accessed by all residents through the industry site. The site also seeks feedback from the community through notice of events and meetings, and links to two-way communication platforms where residents can interact directly with leaders in the industry.

The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board hosted a virtual Hospitality Partners Update on July 18, 2023 to launch the website to business partners. This webinar recording is now available here.
