Strategic Partnerships
In Jackson Hole, visitor paid lodging taxes fund initiatives that benefit the local community.
From maintaining trails to preserving and highlighting the community's culture to showcasing unique experiences, strategic partnerships funded by the local lodging tax through the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board (JHTTB) boast proven results for enhancing the visitor experience and improving locals' quality of life.
With partnerships between the JHTTB and more than 15 local organizations, Jackson is able to make major strides in destination marketing, management, stewardship, and development. Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board strategic partnerships have funded the winter airport shuttle marketing plan to help reduce traffic on roadways, cultural events and history tours that authentically represent the destination, bike route navigation and Nordic trail maintenance to diversify visitor experiences year-round, and the distribution of bear spray holsters and installation of bear-proof trash cans to help protect native wildlife.

The Discovery! Series
Thanks to lodging tax support in partnership with the Center for the Arts, 2,300 attendees accessed affordable performing art shows that elevated Jackson's cultural profile.

In partnership with JH Nordic Alliance, an estimated 310,000 people used Nordic trails in fiscal year 2025, maintained and reported on with support from lodging tax dollars.

Camina Conmigo
With support from JHTTB-allocated lodging tax dollars, Camina Conmigo provided access to 330 Latine, immigrant, and Spanish-speaking locals in 45 outdoor activities, building a community of stewards throughout Jackson Hole.

With support, Jackson Hole community radio produced 75 original audio features and interviews that highlighted the unique character of Jackson Hole, reaching 70,000 listeners on FM airwaves alone.

Teton Heritage Tours
The Teton County Historic Preservation Board utilized lodging tax dollars to help preserve an highlight Jackson Hole's history through a digital tour of 24 historic sites in the valley.
How to apply for strategic partnerships funding
The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board (JHTTB) is open to partnerships that progress the destination in management, development, marketing, or stewardship. Organizations with projects in Teton County, WY, wishing to apply for funds to be used before June 30, 2026, should submit an application by March 15, 2026.

Upcoming changes to the strategic partnerships funding process
Organizations applying for funding for fiscal year 2027 (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027) will be invited to apply between March 16 and June 15, 2026. Updated guidelines and an updated application will be available online at that time. All applicants are required to read the guidelines in their entirety; late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
There will only be one application period for all strategic partnerships in fiscal year 2027.
The JHTTB offers separate funding specifically reserved for boots-on-the-ground ambassador services. For projects dedicated to providing face-to-face education for visitors and recreators, explore ambassador funding here. Please ensure you complete the correct application for your project, as applications cannot be transferred.
