Visit Jackson Hole announces the next stage of destination marketing and communications

Visit Jackson Hole (VJH) names MMGY Origin Outside as creative agency of record and Campstories as public relations agency for Jackson Hole. Both agencies will begin work on July 1, 2026.

Visit Jackson Hole’s creative agency is responsible for concepting, designing, and implementing nationwide campaigns with a dual mandate: driving visitation when economic conditions require and changing visitor behavior toward responsible, sustainable travel. VJH shifted their marketing strategy with the adoption of the Sustainable Destination Management Plan in 2023 to encompass brand affinity and non-traditional educational campaigns as well as traditional marketing and promotion for targeted need periods. MMGY Origin Outside consistently strikes this balance, demonstrating proven experience to attract visitors alongside a stewardship philosophy that real visitor behavior change is possible when travelers also benefit.

MMGY Origin Outside will utilize a $1.9 million campaign and media budget to educate and manage visitors year-round and to expand visitation during identified need periods. MMGY Origin Outside is based in Kansas City and maintains a client roster across major international destinations and brands – Grand Targhee Resort, Stio, Taos Ski Valley, Big Sky, and Destination BC – bringing the scale and experience that Visit Jackson Hole campaigns require.

Campstories joins Visit Jackson Hole as its first public relations agency, tasked with earning meaningful media coverage for the destination and Jackson’s diverse hospitality industry. The agency brings experience in travel, tourism, and outdoor lifestyle storytelling with a clear understanding of mountain destinations.

Campstories will work on a $50,000 annual budget to generate immense ROI in earned media coverage.

Nearly 3 million visitors travel to Jackson each year, generating over $1.8 billion in spending and more than $11 million in local lodging tax revenue. Visit Jackson Hole utilizes roughly 35% of their annual budget, entirely generated by the local lodging tax, for marketing, communications, and messaging. These partnerships will be critical in delivering campaigns and storytelling that authentically showcase one of the most sought-after destinations in the world.
