Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board Awards $209,450 to Support 31 Community Events

JACKSON, WY (March 13, 2025) – The Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board (JHTTB) allocated $209,450 in visitor-paid lodging tax funding to support 31 community events taking place from September 20, 2025 - December 26, 2025.

These events, ranging from cultural festivals and environmental initiatives to athletic competitions and leadership summits, play a crucial role in enhancing the visitor experience and enriching the local community.

In a public meeting on March 13, 2025, the Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board approved just over $209k in funding for community events in Jackson Hole. After review from the JHTTB’s Events Committee and Sustainability Committee, the recommendation came before the board and passed unanimously in a 6-0 vote.

“This is [funding] that does go directly back into the community,” said Shelby Scharp, Events Committee Chair for the JHTTB. “The payoffs are pretty obvious. It touches a lot of people that live here and meets KPIs [for the lodging community.]”

The JHTTB remains dedicated to fostering events that enhance the visitor experience while supporting local businesses and community engagement. The board will also continue to prioritize events that display a committment to sustainable practices and operations.

More information about JHTTB event funding can be found here. The JHTTB intends to award another ~$200,000 to eligible events taking place between January 1, 2026 and June 8, 2026. Applications for spring 2026 events are open from May 1, 2025 – June 30, 2025.
